The Schwung brand model

DIY Branding: the brand model that lets you build your own brand foundation, with our knowledge and creativity to lean on. Do you know why you do what you do, where you stand out and why you are relevant to your audience?

What is DIY Branding?

DIY Branding (do-it-yourself branding) means developing your brand yourself, with Schwung as your knowledge partner. You work through a clear process that delivers your brand foundation: who you are, what you stand for and how you make that visible and tangible. It takes time and an openness to change, but it often pays off straight away: more engaged employees and clarity about your position and direction.

01: Head & Heart

What is your brand essence?

The unique value of your organisation

The first phase captures your brand essence: why you exist and what makes you unique. Head and heart together, reason and emotion, form the core that everything else flows from.

  • Reason for being and ambition
  • Core values and beliefs
  • Distinctiveness
02: Action & Strength

How do you translate that to the market?

From essence to audience

In the second phase you translate your brand essence to the market and the needs of your audience. Here Schwung moves in closer as a critical sparring partner and sounding board.

  • Positioning and proposition
  • Audience and relevance
  • Brand promise
03: Talk & Image

How do you make the brand visible and tangible?

Attitude, behaviour and design

The third phase makes the brand tangible: attitude, behaviour, tone and design. We build on an existing style or develop a new visual direction, from logo and house style to website and activation.

  • Visual identity and house style
  • Tone and imagery
  • Online, offline and in-store

A start, not an end point

With a clear brand foundation in place, developing content and assets afterwards becomes far easier. Drawing up that foundation is the beginning: a strong brand calls for a longer partnership, intensive involvement and critical openness. That is exactly where the value lies.

The full brand model explained, including what it costs and what it delivers, can be found in the brochure.
