Why does Schwung build on Umbraco?
Our preference is Umbraco: an open, scalable .NET CMS with which we build fully bespoke rather than a standard template or page builder. That gives control over functionality, design and code, EU hosting, and no vendor lock-in. You keep ownership of your content and your site, which grows with your organisation.

What is web accessibility?
Web accessibility means everyone can use your site, including those with a disability or assistive software, in line with the WCAG guidelines. For many public and healthcare organisations it is a legal requirement (accessibility law and the European Accessibility Act), but above all it is a gain: an accessible site is clearer, faster and more findable. Can you refresh or migrate our existing website?
Yes. We refresh existing sites and migrate content to a new platform. With a solid redirect approach, you keep your existing findability rather than losing it in the switch.
Do you also build careers websites with a vacancy system?
Yes. We connect careers websites to an ATS (applicant tracking system, such as Ubeeo) and a CMS like Umbraco. Especially in healthcare and the public sector, we built sites that deliver more and better-filtered applicants.
Will a new website make us more findable in Google and AI?
A fast, accessible and well-structured site is a strong foundation for findability, including for AI search engines. But technology alone is not enough: findability also calls for good content and signals from beyond your own site. That is why we tackle development and online marketing together.
Do you also handle hosting and maintenance after going live?
Yes. We handle hosting and keep developing and optimising after launch. A website is not a one-off project but something that grows with your organisation.
